3D printed gear for healthcare workers and patients

The innovation team of Actemium Spain is utilizing its 3D printer, IOT4D (normally used as a test-bed for predictive maintenance methods or demos), to produce sanitary and protective equipment for healthcare workers.

Three different materials were designed, printed, and calibrated, then proceeded to final disinfection before delivery to hospitals. The shipment included face shields for healthcare workers, the LU touch, a tool used to prevent direct contact with objects or surfaces such as opening doors and push-buttons, and Charlotte valves which turn snorkel masks into oxygen masks for patients.

Over 40 different pieces were sent to aid hospitals in Spain and also used by the Actemium crew on-site.
