Actemium Takes Aernnova’s Production to New Heights

Aernnova is a leading engineering, manufacturing, and assembly of aerostructures company. The supplier counts Embraer among its clients — a Brazilian aerospace company and one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world, particularly known for its regional jets.
Within Embraer’s ambitious Praetor program, a line of advanced midsize and super-midsize business jets featuring significant upgrades in range, avionics, and cabin comfort, Aernnova enstrusted Actemium Spain to expand the production line for vertical and horizontal stabilisers.
Laying an ambitious project’s groundwork
The project began in November 2023 with an engineering phase, during which Actemium Spain worked closely with the client to define the project’s objectives and scope. In this stage, a detailed analysis was conducted to determine the most suitable solutions to develop. This collaborative approach laid the foundation for an effective implementation, which was completed in October 2024.
To carry out these improvements in production and maintenance capacity, Actemium Spain led the overall coordination and management of the project, covering the entire electrical system, sensorization, and on-site assembly of mechanical and electrical components. It was also responsible for the final adjustments and commissioning of the new infrastructure at the Évora production plant, ensuring its proper operation and optimal performance.
The project also involved collaboration with specialized teams in mechanical engineering, component manufacturing, and structural assembly, which ensured a smooth integration into the existing production environment. Since this expansion was a replication of the previous manufacturing line, consistency with established processes was maintained, ensuring an efficient transition without interruptions to production.
Enhanced production and maintenance capacity
Thanks to the improvements, Aernnova Évora has increased its production capacity of vertical and horizontal stabilizers for Embraer. Additionally, the implementation of a more advanced system has optimized maintenance tasks, enabling early detection of potential issues and allowed quicker and more effective intervention through a more intuitive interface.
This project reaffirms Actemium’s position as a strategic partner in the aerospace sector, providing innovative and efficient solutions that enhance its clients’ competitiveness. Actemium Spain stands out for its extensive experience in highly integrated projects. The organization has expert teams in mechanical and electrical engineering, automation, industrial safety, and industrial data processing, enabling it to offer comprehensive services for complex projects of this scale.
Actemium continues to focus on excellence and continuous improvement in the industry, providing solutions tailored to the specific needs of each client and ensuring the success of their operations throughout the entire industrial lifecycle.
