An innovative way to manage scrap rubber strips
Actemium Cournon Engineering supported Michelin, the world leader in sustainable mobility, in reorganizing the management of scrap rubber strips from a high-speed tire production line.
The innovation behind this project was the integration of a new production line into an existing environment. The new line composes of 2 robots equipped with synchronized grippers, which grips the rubber at an ultra-fast processing rate. The gripping task is essential because it has to adapt to different variables (size, texture, speed and weight of the rubber strips).
Actemium Cournon Engineering will soon deliver a complex and high-performance machine enabling it to confirm its ability to integrate Industry 4.0 technologies.
