How do the De Klok Dranken employees work hands-free at the warehouse?
De Klok Dranken, a beverage wholesaler in the Netherlands, supplies a range of beverages to restaurants, sports clubs, cinemas, etc. In recent years, the product range has doubled to almost 5,000, which means that the warehouse employees must be able to work hands-free so that they can focus on the products to be picked.
Actemium fulfilled this need with the voice picking solution to SAP EWM. The employees speak to the SAP via ‘voice’ and receive instructions via voice dialogues on their headset; it also informs you on which actions have already been carried out.
“Thanks to the extensive integration of the voice picking, we can process many more orders with the same number of warehouse employees. Furthermore, the chances of errors are little to none and flex workers can be deployed more quickly,” says Dennis Meurs, distribution manager in Groenlo.
