Rethinking Efficiency with RFID in Logistics

In a bid to elevate their logistics game, VTS Transport & Logistics, specializing in medical and pharmaceutical goods, has turned to RFID technology (Radio Frequency Identification) to fine-tune their yard management.
The primary driver? Temperature control, a mission-critical aspect of their operations.
In close collaboration with Actemium, VTS introduced RFID scanning to streamline loading dock operations. The tech displays real-time temperature data as soon as a trailer approaches, ensuring goods stay within the required tolerances thus optimizing trailer filling.
“We now work more efficiently in our cross-dock operation. And more importantly: we can control the temperature even better, anticipate and plan smarter.”
